Rufous Scrub Bird
(Atrichornis rufescens)

 

Rufous brown with black bars found in highland rainforest in central eastern Australia -
in the MacPherson Range of Qld and a short way down the New South Wales coast.
It is one of the most difficult birds to see as it keeps to the undergrowth and its colour.
It nest on or near the ground in grass like clumps.
