Golden Bowerbird
(Prionodura newtoniana)
Male gold and olive in colour, female olive backed with ash coloured front and found in the rainforests of North Queensland. The male builds the bower with 2 towers up to 2m high with a display perch at the bottom of the towers with twigs and leaves and decorates with moss, seed pods and flowers. The female leaves to build a shallow nest of twigs above ground.
